the bus ride to toronto monday night was stunning. the snow was horrible but blowing everywhere. everything else stood out against the white, either frozen in time or bowing to the vicious winds.
'kicker in tow' was the soundtrack for the movie i was making in my head. my eyes were the camera obeying the fade cut and delay orders my mind was giving them.
the varying speeds of the bus, stopping abruptly then speeding ahead to make up for lost time, added an uncontrollable dynamic to the film. the pauses provided opportunities to explore the various depths in the scenery, the acceleration: the feeling of lost moments and forgotten scenes.
it was heart breaking.
it is moments like this that only increase my love of public transit.
(thanks to hanged up for the music, the north wind for the mood, and the lack of sleep for the fade ins and outs.)
