lolita, curtains and some self reflection.
9:05 pm - October 04, 2003

I just finished watching Lolita (1997 version) and I must it was an absolutely brilliant film. I'm still in awe.

I've been confused lately about things I really can't talk about because I wouldn't know where to begin, so I won't.

I finished my curtains today. They're a nice dark navy to compliment my 'marigold blossomed' walls. The space is starting to come together. It's starting to feel comfortable, which is nice. I just have to finish painting and things will be perfect. That and sex. Then things would be good. Yeah.

In other news my guitar playing calluses have finally developed to a decent toughness so that I don't start crying after playing for an hour, which is nice. Now I have to work on quality. Being able to play great songs is one thing and being able to play them with out destroying them completely is another.

So yeah, Lolita, very good. I also rented 'All about my mother' and 'Cinema Paradiso' so they will be watched within the next three days.

Also, I was reminded today about how happy helping other people makes me. Definitely something I shouldn't forget, ever. I spent a couple of hours at Choices in Flamborough, an agency that offers support for developmentally disabled individuals. It was amazing. I always feel guilty for taking more from the experience than I feel I've given.
