okay so here's a glossary of terms that my turn up in my diary, I'll edit it accordingly:

Buckley Truck: see here
Centre, The: see GLBT Centre.
CFMU: McMaster's campus radio station. (see here)
Cogeco: our cable tv/internet provider. bastards.
GLBT Centre: Gay Lesbian Bi Trans Centre at Mac.
John, The: the campus bar. Thursdays and Saturdays. Mostly Saturday's ($2 beer) now defunct.
Mills: The main library on campus.
Quarters: The new campus bar. Beer's more expensive, but saturdays are still $2.25
Raven: great club downtown with killer live music. (also now defunct)
Underground: The raven's successor.
