B7, and i'm not talking about bingo here. it's a chord that my finger can do adequately, but one in whic they take several seconds to find. this, if you listen to music at all, you would know, is a bad thing since it kind of halts the song, and when i'm sitting here trying to be fiona apple it's a tad discouraging.

it's step one in my 3 step approach to learning a song. a song that involved more than just simple open chords. first i will teach my fingers the chords taht they did not know until today (thank you guitar.com) and then i will teach them to move sequentially though the chords, and then i will teach my right hand the picking pattern. step three will be a challenge. i hardly ever get to step three. i usually convince myself that i'm content with step two and i just strum the chords and sing along for my own amusement.

however this will stop.

i've had a guitar for far too long not to know how to finger pick. far too long.

so by tomorrow i will have a working version of 'paper bag'.
